The Police Sciences Department is a key specialised department of the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava. It covers educational activities focused on the specialisations in the public order police, traffic police, protection of premises as well as other theoretical-scientific subjects related to the accredited study programme Protection of Persons and Property. The department is significantly involved in various scientific research activities mainly focused on the scope of the above-mentioned specialisations. In its educational as well as scientific research activities, the Police Sciences Department cooperates with several departments of the Presidium of the Police Force, as well as basic or specialised units of the Police Force of the Slovak Republic.
