Department of Criminology of the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava addresses scientific and research assignments in compliance with the assignments based on the government and sectoral strategy documents, in particular ´Strategy concerning the Crime Prevention and Anti-social Activity in the Slovak Republic for 2016 - 2020.

The scientific work of the Public Law Departmenet is based on overall concept of direction of the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava, which reflects the current issues of the police practice, basiclly in the field of fundamental human rights and freedoms.
